Die Mitglieder der SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, www.sfwa.org) vergeben einmal im Jahr den Nebula-Award für die besten Genre-Werke. Der NEBULA-Award gilt neben dem HUGO-Award als die wichtigste amerikanische SF-Auszeichnung, und wird von Profis an Profis verliehen.
